A look at the logging camp on a hot August day - Photo by Marcie Callewaert |
With only a meager handful of Saturdays left this summer you don't have much time to take advantage of this great opportunity! Every Saturday at 1pm, a staff member will be giving an in depth look at the history of our reconstructed logging camp. The original buildings each have a story of their own, as well as the history of the displays inside them. Explore the cook house and find out just how much a logger ate each day and test out their beds in the bunkhouse!
Tours meet Saturdays at 12:50 in front of the schoolhouse. There is no additional charge - it is just one of the many great experiences offered at the BC Forest Discovery Centre! Tours are limited to approximately 12 participants. The buildings get pretty crowded with a larger group than that!
